BUILDINGS & GROUNDS

Our Lady of Guadalupe School, Church, and Rectory are located in a residential neighborhood of many one and two-family homes. Our Lady of Guadalupe School consists of two buildings. The 73rd Street building was constructed in 1923 and the 72nd Street building in 1962. The Principal’s office is located in the 72nd Street building.  All classrooms in both buildings have computers.

Primary grades (Pre-K-3) are located in the 73rd Street building. Also housed in the building are two after-school extension rooms, library, resource room, remedial reading room, and a fully-equipped computer lab with cable modem high speed internet access. The auditorium is used as a lunchroom and for class assemblies. There is an enclosed playground used by Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Extension pupils.

            The 72nd Street building is used for grades 4-8. The computer lab is fully equipped with cable modem high speed internet access. There is a science room where students can conduct hands-on experiments. The Prayer Center offers the opportunity for students and faculty to have a time for prayer and reflection. The gymnasium is used for physical education, intramural games, and class assemblies. The library has a large collection of reading, reference, and audio-visual materials. The nurse’s room is also located there.
